Following the death of a loved one, there’s a lot of change.
Deceased Estates is the area of law that deals with the appointment of a Legal Personal Representative for a deceased person, the finalising of that person’s affairs, and the distribution of their assets amongst beneficiaries. The Deceased may have left a Will, or they may have died without one. It may be necessary for an application to be made to the Supreme Court of NSW for a Grant of Probate, or for a Grant of Administration. It may be that the beneficiaries of the Estate are clearly ascertained and accepted, or it may be that there is a dispute as to who the rightful beneficiaries are. There may be property or other assets that need to be sold.
Whatever the circumstances, we will consider and advise you on the legal options and take care of the paperwork to ensure a smooth transition. We commit to a careful and sensitive approach in all our estate matters, and remain mindful of minimising legal costs. Speak to us about:
